Andrew Shemon holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Social Work from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Throughout his professional career, Andrew has prioritized supporting children and adolescents, with a particular focus on helping students navigate emotional and behavioral challenges within school-based settings. His experience working in therapeutic classroom environments has allowed him to develop a strong understanding of the unique needs of children and families while creating supportive spaces where students can build confidence, develop coping skills, and work toward positive change.
Through his work in school settings, Andrew utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques, drawing from play therapy, art therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused approaches, and psychoeducation. Andrew believes in meeting each client where they are and recognizing their individual strengths, using a collaborative and supportive approach to help clients develop emotional regulation, coping strategies, and healthy ways of expressing themselves. He also has extensive experience working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD.
