MORE ABOUT AMANDA

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and aMaster of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis. During hergraduate school time, Amanda provided counseling for children and adults with a focus on experientialinterventions to provide space for individuals to process through creation and expression. Amandabelieves that counseling should be approached from a whole-person and culturally sensitive lens as anindividual’s identity affects how counseling is conducted.

Amanda is currently a Professional Counselor Associate and is in the process of becoming a LicensedProfessional Counselor. Amanda utilizes integrative counseling with a focus on art and play interventionssuch as Child-Centered Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, AutPlay Therapy, and Mindfulness-basedTherapy. Amanda hopes to further her training and education to become certified in AutPlay Therapy andbecome a Registered Play Therapist. Amanda is passionate about working with children and families toimprove their overall well being and enjoyment of life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploringnew places, watching movies, and hanging out with her family and friends.
