Kelsey has a Bachelor's degree in Collaborative Health and Human Services from California State University, Monterey Bay, as well as a Masters Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University. She has an array of work experience in the mental health field; in particular working with individuals in crisis situations, and those that have been impacted by traumatic events and substance use.

Through utilizing various therapeutic methods, Kelsey has supported those that experience deep feelings of anxiety, anger, and depression. She has aided students in school settings, where she incorporated the use of play therapy techniques, which allowed children to process and manage their feelings. In addition, she has worked as a mental health counselor in crisis settings, assisting young and older adults with mental health challenges.

Kelsey strongly believes in the innate ability for individuals and families to overcome adversity and live their life to their fullest potential. She enjoys the opportunity to work with diverse families; both children of all ages and adults. She recognizes the significant role parents play in their children’s well-being, and that is why she strives to meet the needs of the whole family unit through providing comfort, guidance, and empowerment. Kelsey incorporates trauma informed practice, play therapy, along with coping strategies that build confidence, emotion regulation skills, and healthy communication. Kelsey’s goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space which allows individuals to feel heard, and to walk with them through a healing journey.
